Explanatory Note

This Form 8-K/A amends the Current Report on Form 8-K (the “Form 8-K”), dated and filed on December 21, 2017, with respect to Wells Fargo Commercial Mortgage Trust 2017-C42. The purpose of this amendment is to incorporate clerical and minor revisions to the agreement previously filed as Exhibit 99.7 to the Form 8-K.

Accordingly, Exhibit 99.7 of the Form 8-K, which contained the pooling and servicing agreement, dated as of December 1, 2017, among Banc of America Merrill Lynch Commercial Mortgage Inc., as depositor, Wells Fargo Bank, National Association, as master servicer, Rialto Capital Advisors, LLC, as special servicer, Wells Fargo Bank, National Association, as certificate administrator, Wilmington Trust, National Association, as trustee, and Park Bridge Lender Services LLC, as operating advisor and as asset representations reviewer (the “Pooling and Servicing Agreement”), is hereby amended and restated in its entirety by the corrected version of the Pooling and Servicing Agreement attached hereto as Exhibit 99.7.

No other changes have been made to the Form 8-K other than the change described above.
