Item 5.02 Departure of Directors or Certain Officers; Election of Directors; Appointment of Certain Officers; Compensatory Arrangements of Certain Officers.
On February 5, 2018, Northwest Bancshares, Inc. (the "Company"), and Gerald J. Ritzert, the Company's Executive Vice President, Controller and Principal Accounting Officer, announced that Mr. Ritzert resigned to pursue other career opportunities. Mr. Ritzert joined the Company in 2003 and has agreed to continue in his current position through March 16, 2018.
