Item 8.01 Other Events
On October 23, 2017, Veritex Holdings, Inc. (NASDAQ: VBTX) (“Veritex” or “the Company”), the parent holding company of Veritex Community Bank, announced that Veritex Community Bank entered into a Purchase and Assumption Agreement with Horizon Bank, SSB to sell certain assets associated with the Austin and Cedar Park branches located in Austin, Texas which is expected to close in the first quarter of 2018.
A copy of the press release is attached as Exhibit 99.1 to this Form 8-K and is incorporated herein by reference.
