Item 8.01 Other Events.

On October 13, 2017, Orexigen Therapeutics, Inc. (“Orexigen” or the “Company”) issued a press release announcing a ruling by the United States District Court for the District of Delaware in the Company’s paragraph IV litigation with Actavis Laboratories FL, Inc. for three patents for Contrave® (naltrexone HCl / bupropion HCl extended release). A copy of the press release is attached hereto as Exhibit 99.1.
