ITEM 8.01    OTHER EVENTS

On October 9, 2017, Intermolecular, Inc. received a letter dated October 9, 2017 from the NASDAQ Listing Qualifications notifying the Company that it has regained compliance with the requirement of the NASDAQ Global Select Market to maintain a minimum bid price of $1.00 per share, as set forth in NASDAQ Listing Rule 5450 (a) (1).
