Other Events.

On October 5, 2017, Dime Community Bancshares, Inc., (the “Registrant”), issued a news release announcing that Anthony Bergamo, a long-time director, passed away. Mr. Bergamo has served as a director of the Registrant since its formation in 1995, and as a director of its wholly owned subsidiary, Dime Community Bank, since 1986.
A copy of the news release is included as Exhibit 99.1 to this report.
