Item 5.02    Departure of Directors or Certain Officers; Election of Directors; Appointment of Certain Officers; Compensatory Arrangement of Certain Officers.

On October 5, 2017, the Board of Directors of Air Transport Services Group, Inc. (“ATSG”) expanded the size of the Board from five to six directors and elected Raymond E. Johns, Jr., age 62, to fill the resulting vacancy. Mr. Johns' term will expire at the Annual Stockholders' Meeting in 2018.


Item 7.01    Regulation FD Disclosure

On October 5, 2017, Air Transport Services Group, Inc. announced that its Board of Directors had increased the size of the Board and elected Raymond E. Johns, Jr. to fill the resulting vacancy. A copy of the release is attached hereto as Exhibit 99.1.
