American Campus Communities, Inc. (NYSE:ACC), the largest owner, manager and developer of high-quality student housing properties in the U.S., today released  an interim leasing update for the 2017-2018 academic year in conjunction with the company's participation in the 2017 National Multifamily Housing Council (NMHC) Student Housing Conference. A copy of such information is attached hereto as Exhibit 99.1.

Such information is furnished pursuant to Item 7.01 and shall not be deemed "filed" for purposes of Section 18 of the Securities Exchange Act of 1934, or subject to the liabilities of that Section.
