Item 8.01 Other Events.
On September 14, 2017, Union Bankshares Corporation (the “Company”) announced that its wholly-owned subsidiary, Union Bank & Trust (the “Bank”), has appointed David V. Ring as the Bank’s Executive Vice President and Commercial Banking Group Executive, effective September 27, 2017.
On September 14, 2017, the Company issued a press release announcing the hiring of Mr. Ring. A copy of the press release is attached hereto as Exhibit 99.1.
