On July 26, 2017, Citizens Holding Company (the “Company”) issued a press release announcing that the Company’s Board of Directors authorized the repurchase of up to 200,000 shares of the Company’s outstanding shares of common stock over the next 36 months. A copy of the press release is attached as Exhibit 99.1 to this report and is incorporated by reference into this Item 8.01.
