Item 8.01 Other Events.
On June 29, 2017, International Seaways, Inc. ("INSW") issued a press release announcing that it had entered into agreements to acquire two Suezmax tanker newbuildings constructed at Hyundai Samho Heavy Industries shipyard. The agreements were entered into between the shipyard and two of INSW's subsidiaries on June 23, 2017, and the vessels are expected to be delivered by the end of July 2017. A copy of the press release is attached as Exhibit 99.1.
