Item 5.02     Departure of Directors or Certain Officers; Election of Directors; Appointment of Certain Officers; Compensatory Arrangements of Certain Officers.
(b) On June 12, 2017, The Hartford Financial Services Group, Inc. (the “Company”) announced Mr. Robert Rupp’s decision on June 12, 2017 to retire as executive vice president and chief risk officer of the Company, effective July 1, 2017. Mr. Rupp will continue as an employee of the Company in an advisory capacity through December 31, 2017.

Item 7.01     Regulation FD Disclosure.
On June 12, 2017, the Company issued a press release announcing Mr. Rupp’s retirement.
The press release is furnished as Exhibit 99.1 to this Current Report on Form 8-K.
