International Paper Company (the “Company”) is filing this Current Report on Form 8-K for the sole purpose of filing Exhibit 99.1, which was summarized in the Company’s Annual Report on Form 10-K for the year ended December 31, 2016 (filed with the Securities and Exchange Commission on February 22, 2017), but which was inadvertently not filed as an exhibit thereto.
