Item 7.01 Regulation FD Disclosure

On May 18, 2017, The Greenbrier Companies, Inc. (the “Company”) issued the attached press release announcing receipt of all required regulatory approvals from European antitrust officials of the Company’s previously announced formation of a joint venture with Astra Rail Management GmbH.
