In connection with the Quarterly Report of SPDR® Gold Trust (the “Trust”) on Form 10-Q for the period ending March 31, 2017 as filed with the Securities and Exchange Commission on the date hereof (the “Report”), I, Joseph R Cavatoni, principal executive officer of World Gold Trust Services, LLC, the Sponsor of the Trust, certify, pursuant to 18 U.S.C. § 1350, as adopted pursuant to § 906 of the Sarbanes-Oxley Act of 2002, that:
