On April 26, 2017, New York Community Bancorp, Inc. (the "Company") issued a news release reporting its financial results for the three months ended March 31, 2017. A copy of the news release is attached as Exhibit 99.1 to this report.

On April 26, 2017, the Company announced that its Board of Directors declared a $0.17 per common share dividend, payable on May 19, 2017 to shareholders of record as of May 8, 2017.
