Item 5.02 Departure of Directors or Certain Officers; Election of Directors; Appointment of Certain Officers; Compensatory Arrangements of Certain Officers.
At the regular meeting of the Corporation’s Board of Directors on March 21, 2017, the Board appointed Michael A. Buffington to serve as director of both Juniata Valley Financial Corp. (the “Company) and of its subsidiary, The Juniata Valley Bank.
Mr. Buffington was appointed to the Class A group of directors and will serve until the 2018 Annual Meeting. Mr. Buffington is not expected to be appointed to any committees in 2017.
