On March 22, 2017, Moleculin Biotech, Inc. (the “Company”) issued a press release announcing its lead candidate, Annamycin (also known as “Liposomal Annamycin”), an anthracycline, has received Orphan Drug Designation by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration for the treatment of acute myeloid leukemia. A copy of the press release is attached to this report as Exhibit 99.1 and is incorporated by reference herein.
