On March 14, 2017, Universal Corporation (the “Company”) announced that David C. Moore, Senior Vice President and Chief Financial Officer of the Company, recently returned to the Company from a temporary medical leave of absence and has resumed his management duties and responsibilities as the Company's principal financial officer, effective March 14, 2017.

On March 14, 2017, the Company issued a press release announcing that its Chief Financial Officer returned to the Company from a temporary medical leave of absence. The press release is attached as Exhibit 99.1 and is incorporated by reference into this Item 8.01.
