Item 8.01 Other Events.
On March 1, 2017, Athene Annuity and Life Company and Athene Annuity & Life Assurance Company, each a wholly owned subsidiary of Athene Holding Ltd. (the "Company"), filed their annual statutory financial statements with the Iowa Insurance Division and the Delaware Department of Insurance, respectively, and with such other regulators as required by the laws and regulations of the applicable jurisdictions. The Company will make these statutory financial statements available on the Company’s website (www.athene.com) after 5:00 p.m., Eastern Time, on March 1, 2017.
