Item 8.01 Other Events.
On February 27, 2017, Mercantile Bank Corporation (the “Company”) issued a press release announcing that Mercantile Bank of Michigan, its banking subsidiary, is expanding its operating area into Southeast Michigan by opening a commercial loan office in Troy, Michigan.
The press release issued is included as Exhibit 99.1 to this Current Report on Form 8-K and incorporated into this Item 8.01 by reference.
