On February 17, 2017, Unum Group (the “Company”) announced that it has named Danny Waxenberg as Senior Vice President, Chief Accounting Officer. The appointment will become effective on February 19, 2017 and, in this capacity, Mr. Waxenberg will serve as the Company’s principal accounting officer.
Mr. Waxenberg, 43, has been serving as Vice President, Global Financial Planning and Analysis of the Company since July 2012 and, prior to that, served as the Financial Controller for Unum UK from August 2008. He joined the Company in 2002 and has held a variety of progressive leadership roles during his tenure.
A copy of the Company's news release announcing Mr. Waxenberg's appointment, along with other promotions occurring at the same time, is filed herewith as Exhibit 99.1.
