(d) On February 9, 2017, the Board of Directors of First Merchants Corporation appointed Michael J. (Jud) Fisher to fill the vacancy on the Board caused by the retirement of Roderick English on October 1, 2016. Mr Fisher's term will continue until the 2017 Annual Meeting of the Shareholders, at which time he will be considered for election for a three (3) year term. A copy of the Corporation's press release, dated February 10, 2017, announcing the appointment of Mr. Fisher is attached hereto as Exhibit 99.1.
