(b) On January 6, 2017, Wayne Burns, Senior Vice President, Operations and Administration, announced that he would be retiring from NanoString Technologies, Inc. (the “Company”) in April 2017. As contemplated by the Company’s succession plan, Mary Tedd Allen, the Company’s Vice President of Operations, is expected to succeed Mr. Burns in April 2017.
