On January 3, 2017, Waste Connections, Inc., a corporation organized under the laws of Ontario, Canada (the “Registrant”), issued a press release announcing that it acquired Groot Industries, Inc., a privately-owned solid waste services company in Illinois (the “Acquisition”). A press release announcing the Acquisition is attached hereto as Exhibit 99.1 and incorporated herein by reference.
