Item 1.01 Entry into a Material Definitive Agreement.
On December 27, 2016, Aspen Aerogels, Inc. (the "Company") amended the Amended and Restated Loan and Security Agreement with Silicon Valley Bank, which was previously effective from August 31, 2014 to December 29, 2016 (the "Credit Facility"). Pursuant to the present amendment (the "Amendment"), the Credit Facility’s maturity date is extended to January 29, 2017 and a financial covenant is modified. The summary of the Amendment is qualified in its entirety by reference to the full text of the Amendment, a copy of which will be attached as an exhibit to the Company’s Annual Report on Form 10-K for the period ending December 31, 2016.
