Item 8.01 Other Events.
On December 21, 2016, AveXis, Inc. (the “Company”) issued a press release announcing an update on its planned spinal muscular atrophy Type 2 trial. The press release also announced information regarding a conference call and webcast to discuss this clinical development update. The full text of the Company’s press release regarding the announcement is filed as Exhibit 99.1 to this Current Report on Form 8-K and is incorporated herein by reference.
