Item 8.01 Other Events.
On November 9, 2016, Alexion Pharmaceuticals, Inc. issued a press release announcing that it has filed with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission a Form 12b-25 Notification of Late Filing with regard to its Quarterly Report on Form 10-Q for the quarter ended September 30, 2016. A copy of the press release is attached hereto as Exhibit 99.1 to this Current Report on Form 8-K and is incorporated herein by reference.
