Item 8.01 Other Events.
On October 19, 2016, Talen Energy Corporation (the "Company") issued a press release announcing that its indirect wholly owned subsidiary Talen Energy Supply, LLC successfully priced a term loan B facility. A copy of the press release, which is attached to this Current Report on Form 8-K as Exhibit 99.1, is incorporated herein by reference.
Also on October 19, 2016, the Company issued a press release regarding an order issued by the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission (FERC) approving the proposed merger of the Company with and into an affiliate of Riverstone Holdings LLC. A copy of the press release, which is attached to this Current Report on Form 8-K as Exhibit 99.2, is incorporated herein by reference.
