Item 5.02 (b) Departure of Directors or Principal Officers; Election of Directors; Appointment of Principal Officers; Compensatory Arrangements of Certain Officers.
On September 27, 2016, Directors Ronnie Miller and Walter Reinhard notified the Board of Directors of United Security Bancshares ("the "Company") and United Security Bank (the "Bank") of their decision to retire and resign from the Board of Directors of the Company and Bank. Directors Miller and Reinhard served as members of the Board of Directors of the Bank for 29 and 26 years, respectively. Both Miller and Reinhard will serve as Directors Emeritus, effective September 27, 2016.
The Board of Directors accepted the retirement and resignation notices as being consistent with newly instituted corporate governance procedures.
