Item 8.01 Other Events.
On September 21, 2016, Ocera Therapeutics, Inc. (the “Company”) issued a press release announcing the completion of enrollment of a National Institutes of Health sponsored safety and tolerability study evaluating the Company’s drug candidate OCR-002 (ornithine phenylacetate) in the treatment of patients with acute liver failure, “STOP-ALF”. The full text of the press release is filed as Exhibit 99.1 to this Current Report on Form 8-K and is incorporated herein by reference.
