Item 8.01 Other Events

 

The management of South State Corporation (the “Company”) will participate in the 12th annual FIG CEO Forum in Atlanta, Georgia on September 19-20, 2016.  John C. Pollok, Senior Executive Vice President, Chief Financial Officer, and Chief Operating Officer, and James C. Mabry IV Executive Vice President, Investor Relations and Mergers & Acquisitions will meet with other Bank executives, investors and specialists in the financial industry, and will provide the attached investor presentation on Monday, September 19, 2016 and on Tuesday, September 20, 2016.   A copy of the presentation will be made available on the Company’s website (http://www.SouthStateBank.com) and is attached as Exhibit 99.1 to this report and incorporated herein by reference.
