On September 14, 2016, Cumberland Pharmaceuticals Inc. (the "Company") issued a press release announcing the initiation of a new Phase II clinical program of PortabanTM for patients with portal hypertension associated with liver disease. A copy of the press release is furnished as Exhibit 99.1.
