On August 23, 2016, Roderick English notified First Merchants Corporation (the "Company") of his intent to retire from the Board of Directors of the Company and its wholly owned subsidiary, First Merchants Bank, effective October 1, 2016. The reason for Mr. English's retirement is that he and his family will be relocating to Japan.
