Item 8.01 Other Events.
On August 16, 2016, Carolina Trust BancShares, Inc. issued a press release that it had completed the statutory share exchange and resulting reorganization of Carolina Trust Bank into the bank holding company form of organization. The press release is attached hereto as Exhibit 99.1 and is incorporated herein by reference.
