On August 16, 2016, Elizabeth (Beth) A. McCague was appointed a director of Ameris Bancorp (the “Company”) to fill a vacancy on the Company’s Board of Directors. Ms. McCague will receive the standard compensation paid to members of the Company’s Board of Directors. There are no understandings or arrangements between Ms. McCague and any other person pursuant to which she was selected as a director. The Board has appointed Ms. McCague to serve on the Company’s Audit Committee.
Ms. McCague is President of McCague & Company, LLC, a mediation services provider for resolution of financial disputes. In addition, Ms. McCague currently serves as a consultant for the Jacksonville Police & Fire Pension Fund.
