On August 11, 2016 E. I. du Pont de Nemours and Company and The Dow Chemical Company issued a joint press release regarding the European Commission’s initiation of a Phase II review for the proposed merger of equals transaction of the two companies. A copy of the press release is attached hereto as Exhibit 99.1 and is incorporated herein by reference.
