On June 28, 2016, Anthera Pharmaceuticals, Inc. (the “Company”) issued a press release announcing results from the Company’s BRIGHT-SC proof-of-concept study, the completion of patient screening in the Company’s SOLUTION study with Sollpura and the screening of the first patients in the Company’s Phase 3 CHABLIS 7.5 study. A copy of the press release is furnished herewith as Exhibit 99.1.
