On June 28, 2016, Omega Protein Corporation (the “Company”) issued a press release announcing the anticipated results of its 2016 Annual Meeting of Stockholders, held on the same date in Houston, Texas, based on the preliminary vote count provided by the Company’s proxy solicitor. A copy of that press release is included as Exhibit 99.1 to this Current Report on Form 8-K and is incorporated into this Item 8.01 by reference.
