Item 8.01 Other Events.
On June 14, 2016, Ellington Residential Mortgage REIT (the "Company") issued a press release announcing that its Board of Trustees declared a dividend for the second quarter of 2016 of $0.40 per share. The dividend will be paid on July 27, 2016 to common shareholders of record as of June 30, 2016.
