Item 8.01 Other Events.
On May 31, 2016, Union Bank & Trust (the “Bank”), the subsidiary bank of Union Bankshares Corporation, completed its acquisition of Old Dominion Capital Management, Inc. (“Old Dominion”), a Charlottesville, Virginia based registered investment advisor with nearly $300 million in assets under management.
Old Dominion will operate as a separate subsidiary of the Bank. It will continue to operate from its current offices in Charlottesville and Alexandria, Virginia.
