Item 8.01 Regulation FD Disclosure.
On June 1, 2016, Rafael Sanchez was appointed President and Chief Executive Officer of Indianapolis Power & Light Company (“IPL”), the primary operating subsidiary of IPALCO Enterprises, Inc. (“IPALCO”). Mr. Sanchez succeeds Kenneth J. Zagzebski, who had been appointed interim President and Chief Executive Officer of IPL on July 1, 2015. Mr. Zagzebski continues to serve as the President and Chief Executive Officer of IPALCO and as a director of both IPL and IPALCO. A copy of the press releasing announcing Mr. Sanchez’s appointment is attached as Exhibit 99.1 to this Current Report on Form 8-K and incorporated herein by reference.
