Other Events. |
On May 11, 2016, Gastar Exploration Inc. (the “Company”) issued a press release announcing its intent to offer, subject to market and other conditions, 40,000,000 shares of its common stock, par value $0.001 per share, in an underwritten public offering pursuant to an effective shelf registration statement previously filed with the Securities and Exchange Commission and effective as of February 24, 2014. In connection with the offering, the Company intends to grant the underwriters a 30-day option to purchase up to an additional 6,000,000 shares of common stock. A copy of the Company’s press release, dated May 11, 2016, is furnished herewith as Exhibit 99.1 and is incorporated herein by reference.
