Item 8.01      Other Events.

On April 11, 2016, HMN Financial, Inc. (the “Company”) announced that its wholly owned subsidiary, Home Federal Savings Bank (the “Bank”), closed on the previously announced agreement to acquire certain assets and assume certain liabilities of Deerwood Bank.
