Item 8.01 Other Events.
This Current Report on Form 8-K is being filed by Home BancShares, Inc. (the “Company”) to supplement and clarify certain information regarding the attendance by the Company’s directors at meetings of the Board of Directors and Board committees during 2015 as disclosed in the Company’s Definitive Proxy Statement on Schedule 14A for its 2016 Annual Meeting of Shareholders to be held on April 21, 2016. Specifically, the Company hereby clarifies that each Board member who served as a director during 2015, except Richard A. Buckheim, participated in at least 75% of the aggregate of the meetings of the Board of Directors and Board committees on which the director served during 2015.
