On March 10, 2016, the Compensation Committee of the Board of Directors of NewMarket Corporation (the "Company") granted Mr. Steven M. Edmonds a special cash award of $80,000 in recognition of his contributions during his years of service as General Counsel of the Company. This award will be paid on the date of his previously announced retirement, March 31, 2016.
