Item 8.01 Other Events
On February 14, 2016, Vertex Energy, Inc.’s (the “Company’s”), Heartland oil re-refinery facility located near Columbus, Ohio, experienced a fire. The fire was contained and no injuries resulted from the fire; however, the Company currently anticipates the facility being offline for repairs until April 1, 2016, which will have an impact on the Company’s first quarter financial results.
