On February 8, 2016, Precision Castparts Corp. determined to change the date of its fiscal year end to the Sunday closest to December 31 of each year. The Company made this change to align its financial reporting calendar with that of Berkshire Hathaway Inc., which acquired the Company pursuant to the previously announced merger that closed on January 29, 2016.
The Company will file a transition report on Form 10-K covering the transition period from March 30, 2015 to January 3, 2016, which is the period between the closing of the Company's most recent fiscal year and the opening date of the newly selected fiscal year.
