Item 8.01.             Other Events.

 

On February 10, 2016, Hospitality Properties Trust, or the Company, delivered a notice of redemption to U.S. Bank National Association, as trustee, with respect to all of the Company’s outstanding 6.30% Senior Notes due 2016 for a redemption price equal to the principal amount of $275.0 million, plus accrued and unpaid interest to, but excluding the date of redemption. This redemption is expected to occur on or about March 11, 2016.
