Item 5.02. Departure of Directors or Certain Officers; Election of Directors; Appointment of Certain Officers; Compensatory Arrangements of Certain Officers.
On January 18, 2016, Jay P. Still, the President and Chief Operating Officer of Laredo Petroleum, Inc. (the "Company") and a member of the Company's Board of Directors (the "Board"), tendered his resignation from such positions to the Company effective January 28, 2016. Mr. Still's resignation as an officer and member of the Board is not due to any disagreement with the Company.
Item 7.01. Regulation FD Disclosure.
On January 19, 2016, the Company issued a press release regarding Mr. Still's resignation as a member of the Board and as President and Chief Operating Officer of the Company. The press release issued by the Company is attached hereto as Exhibit 99.1 and is incorporated herein by reference.
